Thanksgiving, one month anniversary

On Sunday evening we celebrated Thanksgiving with 1 British friend and 4 French friends. We had hot cider and warm cheese inside bread for appetizers, turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, corn, bread, and cranberry sauce for the main course, followed by salad and cheese, finally pumpkin pie and whipped cream for dessert. This was the first time any of our guests had celebrated it,

At the end of the evening, we went around the shared at least one thing for which we are thankful. I mentioned my mother.

Yesterday (Monday Dec 3) was the one month anniversary of her passing. It seems like this first month has gone by in slow motion. It's been a good period of reflectiion about her life and example. As of tomorrow, it's now time to start stepping out more in the past routine.
