10 days from now, we should be on our way back from Detroit to Paris. We fly Thursday August 18 from Detroit Metro to Chicago Ohare to London Heathrow to Paris Roissy Charles DeGaulle Airport, arriving around 11:00 a.m. on Friday morning Paris time.
These days before a major geographic change always feel surrealistic.
We're currently in New Jersey in N Caldwell at the home of our friends Brian & Michelle. Since June 8, we've been on the road a lot, starting in Aurora, Colorado.
Since June 8, we've been in Colorado, Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, Kansas, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, Washington D.C., New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, New York, and Rhode Island.
Before this, either me or my wife or both of us have also been in Wisconsin, Minnesota, South Dakota, Wyoming, California, Tennessee & Texas. We've thus been in 27 states this past year, as well as Washington DC.
We've set foot in both the Pacific & Atlantic oceans.
We've played in Disneyland, eaten lobster in Maine & had daily views of the Rockies during this year.
Last week our friend Marie took us to a French bakery in Nyack, NY. This was a good reminder of the place we're going back to soon.
It's been a very good year stateside. We're very blessed.
Soon it will be time to back "home" to our adopted city.
